About the Powermate PM047008
Any generator or for that matter power tool that uses a Honda built engine, in my experience, is super reliable. The Powermate PM0497008 is no different. The very first time, after adding in a bit of fuel and the accompanying engine oil, it purred to life on the first pull. This is something I have only experienced with Honda engines. They are silent, powerful and always ready to please. Even in winters, the 13HP engine on this portable generator won’t fail you as long as you use stabilizers and fuel additives to keep the engine clean.
Coming to the power, it has got an ample amount of watts. 7,000 watts works like a charm feeding my large refrigerator, one air conditioner and every small appliance in my kitchen without ever hitting the 75 percent mark. I have yet to see the overload indicator light up. Moreover, with 4 different sockets for 120 Volt, you have sufficient outlets to power camping and RV gear. Some might say that its size reduces the portability but to me, it is as portable as a large generator can be. The handles and wheels come separately packaged and need a bit of assembly, which thankfully isn’t hard. And to top it off, you get an amazing 2 years complete warranty on all components. Forget about engine problems and unstable voltage, this baby is sure to keep running non-stop through rain or sun.
