The DuroMax XP4400E can operate most of your standard household appliances in the case of a power outage. With two 20 Amp, 120 Volt standard outlets and one 120/240 Volt 30 AMP rated twist lock power outlet, you no longer have to worry about power problems. An additional 12 Volt DC output charges batteries and other rechargeable units. A 15-amp circuit breaker prevents overloads while a volt meter lets you keep charge over the generator output. The battery indicator lets you know when the batteries are charging. DuroMax RV lets you choose between maximum power at 120 Volts or 120 by 240 Volt optional operation. Starting this generator is easy thanks to the easy recoil cord.

Furthermore, the heavy duty steel roll cage design with isolated motor mounts and wheels let you cart it around and prevents it from creating a noisy ruckus. And with just 4 gallons of fuel you can run it for over 8 hours while an automatic voltage regulator prevents overloading and under-loading conditions. The DuroMax XP4400E is protected by a long one year warranty.

About the DuroMax XP4400E

The DuroMax XP4400E came boxed in a flimsy looking container but thankfully; sufficient foam padding meant that it was still intact. The handles and wheels ship separately and you need to assemble them together using tools provided onboard the generator. Now, usually I find generators a hard bit of equipment to operate the first time around but that was not what I experienced with the DuroMax XP4400E at initial startup. It purred into life with ease and all you need to remember is to shut off the choke button when starting. A little black puff of smoke comes out each time you start it but once you pull the choke to full-on and let the engine settle down a little, the smoke and noise disappears. Do remember to shut down the choke later on.

Is the DuroMax XP4400E powerful? Well in comparison with plenty other $600 plus generators, this is definitely way more powerful than its class. With an option of 120 Volt full power operation and choice to provide 240 Volt output for specific gadgets, I was able to operate my refrigerator, air conditioner and microwave all at the same time without worrying about overloading or power surges. Basically, it’s a generator meant for the domestic market where folks seldom know how to operate or take care of their generators. Be sure to stick to the precautions mentioned in the operations manual such as the kind of oil and fuel to use depending on the climate and usage pattern.

The DuroMax XP4400E is a great example of everything the DuroMax XP4400 Series can bring to the table. This is a perfect generator for anyone who is serious about keeping their family safe and secure, in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency. When the power stops, this generator is going to kick in.

This is a powerful generator, to be sure. At the same time, it is also a durable model with a stellar reputation for being extremely straightforward in its usage. At fifty percent maximum output, you can expect this unleaded gas-powered generator to run for eight hours.
